Who does the work for you?

All of our employees have been employed through us. We use no sub contractors.

When were you established?

We were established in 1983. Unlike other businesses, we have never gone into liquidisation and the business is still within the family, just the next generation.

What thickness is your fascia?

16mm or 18mm which is more than adequate to replace the orgininal wooden boards.

Why remove the fascia board?

If the timber is not removed, the UPVC sweats, produces condensation and can trap rain water which rots the untreated timber behind.

What is the purpose of insulation on my flat roof?

It is building regulatuions to have insulation over a dwelling. However, it is also beneficial to you as it creates a warm roof which prevents the loss of heat in the winter.

Why do I need ventilation in my soffit boards?

When the heat from your home rises into the loft and hits the cold of the felt/tiles,condensation forms. The ventilation allows a circulation of air in the loft space to control this and keep your timber substructure dry.

When do fascias need replacing?

There is no specific period of time but when your timbers show signs of peeling paint, sagging soffits or rotting ends, these are telltale signs that it is time for a replacement.

Do I need to be at home whilst the work is completed?

The fitters prefer someone to be at the property when they arrive. However, as long as they have access to power to charge their tools, you can come and go as you please.

When do we quote?

We quote from 9am-6pm on a weekday and 9am-12pm on Saturday. However, we can only quote during daylight hours so during the winter months the hours are reduced.

Can you give me a rough price for a standard house?

Unfortunately, as every property is different we would need to come and discuss what you would like/need with a quotation as the prices vary with size, colour and style.

How long does a quotation take?

Usually this will only take around 10 minutes, just enough time to discuss your queries with you and have a look around the property.

Do you work in my Area?

This is roughly the area that we complete work in.
