  • Can you give me a rough price for a standard house?
Unfortunately, as every property is different we would need to come and discuss what you would like/need with a quotation as the prices vary with size, colour and style.
  • Do you work in my Area?
The map shows a rough area we carry out our installations. This includes; Warwickshire, Coventry, Rugby, Daventry, Nuneaton, Bedworth, Leicestershire.
  • Will I have to pay for the quotation?
No. All of our quotations are free and no obligation. Call our office on 02476 494 491 now to book yours.
  • When do we quote?
We quote from 9am-6pm on a weekday and 9am-12pm on Saturday. However, we can only quote during daylight hours so during the winter months the hours are reduced.
  • How long does a quotation take?
Quotations usually only take around 10 minutes. This is just enough time to discuss your queries with you and have a look around the property. Your requirements are brought back to the office to be calculated. This iis then typed up and we then send your quote in writing by email where we can or by post if required.
  • Do I need to find my own scaffolder?
We recommend certain scaffolders and these will be detailed on your quotation. Should you be happy to use them, we can book it all in for you. There is no obligation to use them but their prices are very competitive. You are welcome to obtain your own scaffolding quotes from other companies so long as it fits the requirements for the installation.
  • Will I need to pay a deposit?
We do not require deposits, our payment terms are full payment on completion.
  • Do I need to be at home whilst the work is completed?
The fitters prefer someone to be at the property when they arrive. However, as long as they have access to power to charge their tools, you can come and go as you please.
  • Do you clean gutters and unblock pipes?
We do not offer gutter cleaning or any unblocking service as an independent product. If we have carried out your installation and you have an issue that you feel is due to workmanship but is found to be unrelated such as a blockage we will have to charge a call out charge for this.
  • Who does the work for you?
All of our employees are employed directly through us. We do not use sub contractors.
  • When were you established?
We were established in 1983. Unlike other businesses, we have never gone into liquidisation and the business is still within the family, just the next generation.
  • What guarantees do you offer?
Workmanship offers a 20 year guarantee. Each individual service carries their own guarantee with varying length. See Our Services page to find out more.
  • What thickness is your fascia?
16mm or 18mm which is more than adequate to replace the original wooden boards.
  • Why remove the existing boards?
If the timber is not removed, the UPVC sweats, produces condensation and can trap rain water/ moisture which rots the untreated timber behind. This can cause the boards to become unsafe and potentially fall. This process is known as overcladding and is poor building practice. They use a thin board that isn't designed for external use.
  • What is the purpose of insulation on my flat roof?
Installing Insulation is necessary when removing roofing over a habitable dwelling to comply with building regulations. However, it is also beneficial to you as it creates a warm roof which prevents the loss of heat in the winter.
  • Why do I need ventilation in my soffit boards?
When the heat from your home rises into the loft and hits the cold of the felt/tiles,condensation forms. The ventilation allows a circulation of air in the loft space to control this and keep your timber substructure dry.
  • When do fascias, soffits and barge boards need replacing?"
There is no specific period of time in which your roofline will need replacing but when your timbers show signs of peeling paint, sagging soffits or rotting ends, these are telltale signs that it is time for a replacement.
